For the seventh year in a row a national charity that concentrates on making the arts accessible to disadvantaged children is holding a fundraising concert. As corporate sponsors, our FurnitureHireUK.com team are really looking forward to attending the event and can reveal we’re also donating 200 black polyprop chairs for the occasion.
Carol concert raises charity funds
There are many different things that can evoke a festive atmosphere, from the first falls of snow, to the aromas of hot chestnuts for sale on busy streets full of shoppers searching for the perfect gifts. A carol concert is a fantastic event to welcome in the Christmas season, create some good cheer and a fundraising spirit for those that are less fortunate.
The Prince’s Foundation for Children and the Arts will be holding a very important event it describes as a ‘festive extravaganza’ on December the 9th, that aims to boost donations for its worthy causes. In addition to our team attending the concert, so will a long list of celebrities who help to raise the profile of the charity and its goals even more. As well as highlighting the aims of the Prince’s Foundation we, and all the people turning up, get to enjoy a great evening of entertainment, which also includes mince pies and some warming drinks to ward off any winter chills - lucky us!
Spectacular venue to expect 600 people
In its 7th year, the charity is holding its annual carol concert in the stunning Holy Trinity Church in London’s Sloane Square. This is a truly unique building featuring an impressive and different take on gothic architecture, with soaring stained glass windows adding to the eye-catching design even more. This is a magical location for all the entertainment scheduled for the evening, which will be hosted by Classic FM’s John Suchet and includes musical performances by artists that have gained recognition across the world, like Classical Brit Award Winner Amy Dickson, Joe Stilgoe and Margaret Keys.
Seasoned actors to do festive readings
Household names will also be taking part doing readings including Downton Abbey actress Penelope Wilton, actor Brian Blessed and presenter Amanda Holden. Over 600 people attend each annual event and as well as seasoned actors and professional singers and choirs contributing to the entertainment, school choirs also appear every year at the concert.
Our FurnitureHireUK.com team are really looking forward to joining in with all the festive fun and kicking off the holiday season with a great sing-song that has a very worthy cause at its heart. The group aims to raise donations to help disadvantaged children to engage in the arts, which it does in many ways, such as building links between schools and art groups, training teachers to confidently introduce arts to classrooms and by setting up national arts programmes.
