Welcome to November
Attending ‘Roll Call’ on Thursday was something different to begin the morning with. It was an opportunity for all drivers, drivers helpers and warehouse staff to get together and discuss any issues which may have arisen. It provided Rick with the chance to address the whole team together and highlights good aspects as well as indicate areas where improvement needs to be made.
Appreciating the WHOLE team!
The team seem to respond well to these type of meetings and also gives them the option of bringing any issues directly to the attention of the VP of Operations. Whilst it is imperative that operations within the business work well, it is crucial to remember that drivers and drivers helpers are in direct contact with clients. They are the face of the company and their first hand experiences and feedback whilst attending events and venues should never be underestimated.
Venue Visits
It is a complete privilege to visit some of the venues located in Austin because I can quite simply confirm – “‘They are out of this world” I have included links to the venue websites directly as words will simply not do them justice. There is no surprise after visiting some of these locations why weddings in Austin are such a huge business. The breathtaking views and fabulous landscaping are astonishing and I am yet to be disappointed by a venue I have visited.
The Winfield Inn
Evening Events
The first event of the evening was held at the Rattle Inn where Red Velvet Events hosted a 10 year appreciation celebration of: Outplan-ing, Outplay-ing and Outparty-ing.
‘Paint the Town Red’ was an amazing evening and the branding was extremely consistent – a personal highlight for me. The colour changing glasses were ingenious and having the ability to sign their 10 year celebratory sofa was a perfect touch. Daniel – I can confirm I added our autograph to the sofa and this will remain for many years to come, signed ‘FurnitureHireUK.com‘!
From the RVE event we headed directly to the Bliss event which celebrated the release of the third edition of Bliss, Bridal Magazine. The event was luxury from beginning to end with violinists welcoming guests from the main stair well down to the event ballroom. I enjoyed a feast of hors d’oeuvres and indulged in smores, hot chocolate, oreo cookie delight and surprises from the ice cream bar! The sophisticated design was exquisite and very impressive! A great event!
