The dictionary defines the word coronation as the placement of a crown upon a monarchs head. The term goes beyond the mere physical act of placing a crown, as it also encompasses the entire ceremonial proceedings that involve the crowning, as well as the presentation of other symbols of regal power.
Since 1066 English coronations have been conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury and have taken place in the world famous Westminster Abbey. The first documented coronation took place on 25th December, 1066 and was that of William the Conqueror. King Charles III will be the 40th reigning monarch to be crowned on 6th May 2023.
Since 2020, the world has experienced significant and unprecedented events. Events have taken place that we never dreamed of! Each day we remind ourselves how fortunate we are, appreciating the world around us and the things that we have, both big and small. Whether we are appreciating the beauty of nature or, more importantly, cherishing the company of our loved ones.
With this in mind, marking and celebrating a historic moment in time with friends, family and/or neighbours has never been easier. We have created a coronation category which includes all the furniture you’d need to hold either an indoor or outdoor royal celebration.
Our beer bench sets are the ideal choice for large street parties where visitors, guests and neighbours can enjoy both food and discussion in the comfort of their very own street. As well as this, our picnic tables are a popular choice for outdoor events as are deck chairs and rattan style furniture. This is England after all, so furniture which is durable and waterproof is vital.
If you’ve decided to keep the festivities inside however, red, white and blue furniture items such as beanbags or cubes have been a keen favorite and provide a relaxed environment. Our brand new category also includes hundreds of trestle tables and various chair styles allowing you to create the biggest, most patriotic event guests will attend all year. Let the celebrations commence.
