Rectangular banqueting tables and 30 of our black stacking chairs we recently transported to venue focusing on the quick fire sport of table tennis, proving to be a quirky and inspiring place for meetings - with all delegates sitting comfortably.
It's all about location
The location of your business meetings can really matter when it comes to making your guests, colleagues or potential clients feel, inspired, relaxed and even entertained. This week we travelled to a fantastically different location that highlights the wonderful sport of ping pong.
Liven up meetings with an Olympic sport
As soon as a certain physical activity becomes an Olympic sport it comes under the spotlight of the world, making it more popular than ever. Last’s year’s Olympics in London was a great way to showcase all the different games people can play to become fit, healthy and have fun, and new sports are being added all the time. In fact, squash, wrestling and baseball organisations are currently waiting to see which of these sports may be added to the 2020 Olympics. Ping pong first entered on to the list of sports for this worldwide event back in 1988, and interest for the activity never seems to wane.
Believe it or not, this pastime has been around since the late 1880s, being enjoyed as a hobby initially but is now also attracts expert players who can hit balls over the net with amazing speed and agility.
Networking… over the net
A varied programme of events at any large sporting event can really keep people entertained, but a similar tactic can be used when you decide to hold meetings. We paid a visit to a recent client where ping pong is central to the venue, and discovered how it is a perfect location for meetings, proving informal and fun, but with all the amenities needed for delegates, colleagues and guests to network.
Picking the right location is essential when you’re organising a meeting, and it’s also important to make sure you have the right hire furniture for your event too. On this occasion our client ordered 30 black stacking chairs, along with two rectangular banqueting tables for displaying products on.
Why our rectangular banqueting tables get a-round
As you can see from our photos, our banqueting tables are not only for those sophisticated dinners but once covered, they serve as a handy surface for refreshments, snacks and for product displays too. A prime reason why they are perfect for all these uses is because of the stability of the table, once up, they don’t wobble and you can trust them to stay steady and secure for all your events. Getting them standing in seconds is another top feature of this product and it is enabled by the folding leg mechanism. You simply have to unfold the legs and place the table upright - job done!
Chairs for spectators - and delegates
In addition to hiring our rectangular banqueting tables, our client also opted for 30 of our black stacking chairs, which you can see here clustered around a ping pong table - a very unique meeting area surface! These chairs have a long list of events they are perfect for, from seminars, to training days, conferences and meetings too. The seat has cushioning and lumbar support, meaning your guests will feel very comfortable.
The chair is also very smart looking too, with the black seat and shiny chrome legs complementing each other, ensuring this product can fit really well into both corporate environments and those where you’d simply like the venue to look professional and chic.
Meeting room tables - net not included!
Although we don’t stock ping pong tables, we do have a range of meeting room tables if you require these too. With a 25mm thick melamine top, folding legs and a light oak finish, our modular tables can be configured into meeting tables that are all sorts of shapes and sizes - check out our website if you’d like more product information, including in depth descriptions and videos of our stock.
