Our Team Joins Stars At The National Reality Television Awards

This week our team was invited to the National Reality Television Awards 2013 after we decided to sponsor one of the categories in the contest. As well as this, we also donated a large amount of our event furniture including 207 banquet chairs and covers, 20 1830mm circular banqueting tables and 20 white cloths. The event saw us mingling with lots of familiar faces that have made a name for themselves by entertaining viewers with their sheer entertainment value, some notoriety, and talent too, such as singing and dancing.

In its third year, the contest seeks to award the efforts of those involved in the business. The competition not only recognised individuals, such as the Apprentice’s Luisa Zissman who won Best Female Personality 2013 - but producers and researchers too.
The event also aims to raise the profile of the reality television industry and recognise the input it has in providing entertainment. In fact, figures from the contest’s website show that the ceremony attracted 4.5 million votes for all the different categories this year - showing the popularity of the shows nominated.

As well as donating hire furniture, on this occasion we were the sponsors of the Best Production Company category with the nominees facing stiff competition. There were many different programmes that were nominated for a variety of categories, from comedies like Facejacker and Celebrity Juice to talent shows like Got To Dance, Strictly Come Dancing and Britain’s Got Talent. The awards also included long running programmes, like the Apprentice and Dragon’s Den, as well as newer shows, such as the Big Reunion, the Call Centre and the Seven Dwarfs.

For the category we sponsored - Best Production Company 2013 - Endemol was named as the winner, recognising the firm’s efforts in producing some of the major reality television shows watched in the UK, including Big Brother, Deal or No Deal, Total Wipeout and many others. We’d like to congratulate all winners and nominees attending this year’s award ceremony and look forward to all the entertaining programmes and personalities appearing on the screen in the future.
